The first Frontiers Research Topic on Tourette syndrome was published this year: ["The neurobiology and genetics of Gilles de la Tourette Syndrome: new avenues through large-scale collaborative projects"](http://journal.frontiersin.org/researchtopic/4176/the-neurobiology-and-genetics-of-gilles-de-la-tourette-syndrome-new-avenues-through-large-scale-coll). It includes 29 articles on TS (as of 14 November 2016), many stemming from the 2015 conference in London \cite{27375411}.
### Review articles and other sources
Thenganatt and Jankovic provided a useful review of TS \cite{Thenganatt:2016}. A comprehensive review of Provisional Tic Disorder, _i.e._ children whose first tic was less than a year
ago, also ago—similar to Transient Tic Disorder in earlier nosologies—also appeared \cite{27158458}. Lessov-Schlaggar et al argued thoughtfully that typical statistical analyses of a single variable at a time may be inadequate to find many important solutions to "complex disorders of brain development and function" such as TS \cite{27375425}.
