A detailed review of the role of the autonomic nervous system in TS (Hawksley et al., 2015) describes the autonomic abnormalities associated with TS and treatment approaches based on improving autonomic modulation.  A review article summarizes some of the recent advances in TS neuroimaging \citep{26543796} \citep{26543796}.  This review describes how increased motor control occurs in TS adolescents along with a variety of compensatory mechanisms (Jackson et al.: "Inhibition, Disinhibition, and the Control of Action in Tourette Syndrome"). These researchers make the case that increased inhibitory capacity within higher-order motor regions, such as the SMA, may adjust motor excitability.  ### Online resources  Abstracts of presentations from the 1st World Congress on Tourette Syndrome & Tic Disorders, London, 24-26 June 2015, are [available online](http://touretteworldcongress.org/). The Tourette Association posts links to selected scientific articles relevant to TS on its web page at regular intervals \cite{TA_links}. One of the authors provides a link at PubMed.gov to an occasionally updated list of selected publications on TS \cite{NCBI_TShighlights}.
