Fasano & Lozano \cite{26110808} have provided a general review of DBS for movement disorders and also describe some of the recent technological advances (i.e., electrode design, rechargable implantable pulse generators, closed-loop (adaptive) stimulation)  Mary Robertson (the two Lancet articles) \cite{26359614}\cite{26359615}\cite{26360067}\cite{26360068}  reviews that work that she and others have done during her 35 year treating TS patients and her 30 years of publishing TS research. A detailed review of the role of the autonomic nervous system in TS (Hawksley et al., 2015) describes the autonomic abnormalities associated with TS and treatment approaches based on improving autonomic modulation.
