Generally the fits capture the time behavior of the time series. Here are a few examples of good fits. In the following plots the top panel is the time series, in linear time space, the bottom panel is the fit in logaritmic time space, where the fit is actually performed. The band indicates the GP uncertainty and the vertical lines indicate the peak of the GP fit, and the peak of the SESN samples in that photometric filter for the CfA sample, as deretimed in \cite{Bianco_2014}
