The Michigan Regional Intensive Modeling Area (RIMA) includes 9 counties in SW Michigan.
We use EPIC to model corn-soybean rotation on all agricultural lands available in the RIMA.
Management used: Chisel till, High Fertilizer input, No residue removal.
Time period: 1985-2009.
Average simulated soybean yield is <8 However, some of our modeling units are too big to model landscape diversity impacts accurately.
