This study article  presents the first observation generation  of elastic shear wavesgenerated  in abulk  soft tissue medium  using a laser beam. In a first set of experiments, we observed that a 532 nm, 200 mJ Nd:YaG Experiments show two different regimes depending on  laser beam can induce energy. Physical modelisation of the underlying phenomena reveal  a shear wave in thermoelastic regime due to  a soft phantom and that this shear wave was detectable by local dilatation resulting from temperature increase; And  an ultrasound scanner using speckle-tracking algorithms. In ablative regime due to  a second set partial vaporization  of experiments, we observed a shear waves induced the medium  by a laser beam the laser. Theoretical displacements are close to experimental measurements. A numerical study based on the physical modelisation gives comparable propagation pattern as  in a chicken breast sample. The experiments. These  results shows give a physical basis on  the feasability of an a shear wave  elastography method technique  using a laser beam as a shear wave source. beam.
