%How will the resources provided by BIDS be leveraged for greater impact in your research group? The data analysis system we've developed for radio transient detection has evolved with our science needs. At present, we are focused on processing data off-line on compute clusters. This approach has been effective at reaching our immediate science goals, but is not sustainable for on-line, real-time processing. Thus, a short-term goal of mine is to use BIDS support to redesign our data analysis system for real-time processing. More broadly, I am also eager to interact with other BIDS participants to think about how to generalize our astronomy-specific software. I would like to develop open tools for anomaly detection in massive data streams of all types. Input from scientists using other types of data streams will help understand the best structure of such a system. Other members of BIDS will have broader experience with Python, streaming data, and algorithms that will be valuable contributions to my radio-specific needs.
