%How will the resources provided by BIDS be leveraged for greater impact in your research group?  The data analysis system we've developed for radio transient detection has evolved with our science needs. At present, we are focused on processing data off-line on compute clusters. This approach has been effective at reaching our immediate science goals, but is not sustainable for on-line, real-time processing.     BIDS support will give me an opportunity to redesign our data analysis system for real-time processing. I am also eager to interact with other BIDS participants to think about how to generalize our astronomy-specific software. A broader goal of this research is to develop open tools for anomaly detection in massive data streams. Input from scientists using other types of data streams will help understand the best structure of such a software system.
