A database is being developed to define the areas in the sky that will be covered by  single observations (a survey ``tile''), the way these tiles will be divided in imaging  fields, and track observations, pipeline executions and products. Some of the most important  tables are shown in Figure~\ref{fig:status_db}. This database will be populated automatically from  workflow tasks and scripts that are executed as part of each pipeline.
