Greater differences in the frequency spectrum between task and rest states seem to be found in FFC3 and FC1 electrodes (both on the left side of the scalp). The first one, in particular, presents an almost well defined peak at 3 Hz. The other one has a tall peak at almost 2 Hz and another peak at, also, 3 Hz. Interestingly enough, a well defined peak at 3 Hz is also found at Oz electrode (occipital area) for the mean task block. There are smaller peaks at about 1.5 Hz and 2.5 Hz, that also seem to appear on rest blocks, although a lot less evident.
We believe this is due to the change in visual stimulus between rest and task blocks of the experiment.
