The effect is expected especially at low redshift when the forests (and more importantly the Ly-$\beta$ one) are tracing higher overdensities where other effects (like shock -heating) should be taken into account. can become important.  %We also tried to compute the characteristic overdensities traced by the Ly-$\beta$ forest to get confirmation that for z< 2.5 we are proving $\Delta>10$. At the lowest redshift case probably we will have to take into account possible unclear effects for the LogR-$\gamma$ relation at the lower redshifts.
