The algorithm has been tested extensively for pressure measurements made at different locations in the arterial system. Figure 4 shows the results of the algorithm applied to invasively measured pressure in the abdominal aorta of a patient. Figure 5 shows the results for pressure measured in the left anterior descending coronary artery in the same patient. In both cases the exponential fit during diastole is very close to the measured pressure and the results during systole look reasonable.
