We see from Figure 4; that $c_{IT}$ is close to the theoretical wave speed $$. For the calculations based on $P$ and $U$ calculated at the middle of the vessel (location 7) the sum-of-squares wave speed $c_{SS}$ is also fairly close to $$. When we look at the results calculated for data at different locations in the vessel we see that $c_{IT}$ remains close to $$ but $c_{SS}$ deviates freatly from $$ (Table 1).
