In the mid-1990s, Steve Brandt and collaborators introduced an
analogue to the Isotropic Schwarzschild (Section \ref{ssec:iso})
solution. This is covered, for instance, in \cite{Brandt:1996si}. One
starts with Kerr written in Boyer-Lindquist coordinates (Section
given in terms of the original Boyer-Lindquist $R \equiv R_{BL}$:
R \equiv R_+ \cosh^2 \left( \frac{\eta}{2} \right) - R_- \sinh^2 \left( \frac{\eta}{2} \right) = M + \sqrt{M^2 - a^2} \cosh \eta,
