We note that $\partial_{\theta} \Omega \equiv - 2 a^2 \sin\theta \cos\theta \Delta$,  so the latter quantity simplifies to  K_{\theta \phi} = - \frac{2 M a^3 R \sqrt{\Delta} \sin^3\theta \cos\theta}{\sqrt{\rho^6 \Omega}}.
