One special case of the Bowen-York solution (\ref{eq:by_general}) is
that of a black hole with spin only (the ``$S$'' term of
(\ref{eq:by_K_P_S})). This is parametrised by the ADM angular momentum
$S$
where the conformal factor $\psi$ must satisfy the Hamiltonian
constraint. Gleiser et al \cite{Gleiser:1997ng} have found an
approximate solution for $\psi$, accurate to $O(\hat{a}^3)$, where
$\hat{a} \equiv S/M^2$, assuming the angular momentum vector points
along the polar ($z$) axis:
