In this section, we discuss the design details of ADTCP. Firstly, to achieve congestion avoidance, we design a mechanism named “priority slow down”, by utilizing ECN in TCP header, the receivers are informed of the extent of congestion in particular switch/router, then receiver decide wether to send a slow-down packet to sender, and slow down the rate of sending flows, or pause some of them. Secondly, “priority random-jump” mechanism is to allow the sender to decide the routing path instead of router.
