\subsection{Survey results}  We implemented our interview results with a short survey sent to nearly 350 Ph.D.-level researchers at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in April 2013. 175 researchers responded to the survey within a one-week period (response rate ~50\%). rate: roughly 50\%).  In the first part of the survey we gathered biographical information about the respondents as well as some general information about their work and data practices.
