Professionally typeset and formatted papers in one click

For many LaTeX users, a major benefit of LaTeX is the fact that it produces beautiful, professionally typeset documents (PDFs). Overleaf and ShareLaTeX accomplish this in the most traditional way: you write LaTeX starting with a template and then compile a PDF that uses that template styling. Authorea separates format from content. All content created does not have a specific output format. At any point in time in your writing process, you can export a version of your document (in PDF, Word, or LaTeX) formatted in the style of your choice (e.g. "download a one column line-numbered 12pt version of your paper with APA citations and figures positioned at the end of the document").
