The traditional way to publish scientific work is by writing a scientific narrative which describes the performed experiments and related conclusions. Nowadays, pressure for funding and the journal impact factor have generated a vicious circle which has promoted, at the very least, an increase in the minimum number of relevant findings required for publication and an over-stretching of its claims. As a consequence, reproducibility in science has recently surged to the attention of the media, including \href{http://nyti.ms/KbS9Hg}{The New York Times} and \href{http://on.wsj.com/rIKjl6}{The Wall Street Journal}.
