At the proposed frequency (K band), the D array will give us a primary beam of \~ 2 arcmin (FWHP) and a resolution of \~ 4 arcsec. With mosaicing of 13 pointings (see below), this allows us to cover the full width of the filament and resolve the kinematics (fragmentation, in-fall motion, etc.) within L1689B at the same time.  \subsection{Choice of receiver(s)}  The goal of this proposal is to use the molecular line emission to trace the kinematics from the filament scale (sub-parsec) to the core scale (a few hundred AU). To achieve this goal, we propose to observe the hyperfine lines of ammonia (NH3). (NH_3).  They will give us a good measurement of the temperature and the velocity structure at the proposed spatial scales. \subsection{Mosaicking plan}  As described above, the width of the filament as appeared in far-infrared emission (by Herschel and JCMT) is around 2.75 arcmin (0.1 pc at the distance of 125 pc). To cover the full width of the filament and to trace the flow motion along the filament, we propose mosaicking of 13 pointings in hexagonal arrangement to achieve Nyquist sampling.
