# Better Storytelling  As we stated at the outset, communicating results by way of what cognitive scientists refer to as "storytelling" has the deepest, most long-lasting, impact on a reader, viewer, or listener. Until recently, journal articles contained words, numbers, and pictures, but today we can enhance journal articles' storytelling potential with audio, video, **audio**, **video**,  and figures **enhanced figures**  that offer interacativity **interacativity**  and context. **context**.  We consider each "multimedia" option of these opportunities  in turn, below.
