# Better Storytelling  ## Non-linear Narrative As we stated at the outset, communicating results by way of what cognitive scientists refer to as "storytelling" has the deepest, most long-lasting, impact on a reader, viewer, or listener. Until recently, journal articles contained words, numbers, and pictures, but today we can enhance journal articles' storytelling potential with audio, video, and figures that offer interacativity and context. We consider each "multimedia" option in turn, below.  d3po --**Josh**--let's put the Story & the Sandbox demo plot you made using Glue/d3po here.... I trust you can do that via magic of cut & paste? I don't have access to that article on Authorea.  ## Video  choose example...likely a simulation narrated 3D viz **Alberto/Nate**--is there ANY way you can include Video in Authorea yet??  ## Audio  Audio can be used to demonstrate a scientific concept. Most likely audio would be from terrestrial sources, perhaps instruments or recorded lectures, but a nice example is that of gravity waves, e.g. [This is the gravity wave signature of merging black holes](http://web.mit.edu/sahughes/www/Sounds/iota_20_0.998_h.wav) from [Scott Hughes at MIT](http://web.mit.edu/sahughes/www/sounds.html)
