The turbulence was driven until it saturated at a Mach number of roughly 8, then allowed to decay to Mach 7. The initial conditions were generated without including gravitational forces.  We then carved a sphere of diameter 512 out of the turbulent box to use as our initial cloud. Upon scaling to physical units, the cloud consisted of $5\times10^{4}$ M$_\sun$ of gas in a sphere with radius 12.5 pc. The further evolution of the cloud is performed with the adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) code RAMSES \citep{2002A&A...385..337T}. The sphere was placed at the center of a $1024^{3}$ isolated box. The resolution throughout the run was allowed to adapt between effective resolutions between $256^{3}$ and $2048^{3}$, with factor of two increases in resolution triggered either by the requirement that the local Jeans length is resolved by four grid cells \citep{http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1997ApJ...489L.179T} \citep{1997ApJ...489L.179T}  or by factor of 2 jumps in pressure.
