\section{Electrospinning \subsection{Electrospinning Synthesis}
This unique synthesis method of GaN nanowires was first discovered in 2009, and is very different from other synthesis methods. First, a solution of alcohol and water is used to dissolve gallium nitride and PVP powders. This mixture was then pushed through a silver needle to form nanofibers, which are collected by a charged silicon wafer. Once obtained, the nanowires were exposed to air at 500 C for 4 hours, to create Ga2O3 nanowires. Finally, these nanowires were placed in an oven at 850 C and reacted with ammonia to form the GaN nanowires. This method managed to created nanowires that were about 10 nm in diameter, which were aligned using electrostatic methods. \cite{Wu_2009}
