# Problem Statement (1 columns = 0.5 page)
Given a Bayes net, perform inference over it and evaluate the result.
Timeline generation is a simple problem to state. We take an entity and a body of entity-linked articles as input. We select and timestamp a handful of sentences, and return these as output. The question is, which sentences? Our motivation is to choose sentences which best summarise and capture the entity. If the entity was a person, perhaps we would like to include major milestones in their personal lives and professional career.
