The number of scientists increases and science and society become more and more intertwined.   In this rapidly changing environment it is important to reflect on the role and the responsibilities of the individuals doing science in science. %in  the 21st century. I will would  argue that this should be one of the primary concerns for the scientific community and society at large. This is becauseit seems likely that  the future and survival (and probably survival)  of humankind relies heavily  on the optimization recommendations  of the scientific output community  and its relationship with society. scientific and technological discoveries.
