A series of amazing discoveries occured in the last few months, with enormous implications for one of the most fascinating question we can ask. In face of these discoveries it's a fun excercise to revisit the Drake Equation, which despite being more than 50 years old is still a useful tools tool  to discuss the estimate our  chances of getting in touch with an extraterrestrial civilization.
