Biogenic burning may account for some of the increased ozone levels as bushfires from both Australia and Africa are known to influence tropospheric ozone during Austral Spring and Summer \textbf{TODO: Cite needed?}.  Using the ozonesondes first measurement allows us to look at ground level ozone, figure~\ref{fig:groundozone} shows seasonal averages of both ozone partial pressure and ppbv.  Ground ozone at Davis and Macquarie show a strong seasonal cycle with the maximum occuring during Winter, and the minimum during Summer (figure \ref{fig:groundozone}). Summer.  This seasonality is most likely due to the reduced ozone destruction which occurs when there is less sunlight \textbf{TODO: cite}.  \textbf{TODO: exam. of ground ozone from sondes?}
