The ensure that the instrument alignment is stable over time, routine measurements (approximately monthly) of the ILS are taken using an internal source and a 10cm HCl cell filled to a known pressure. The ILS can be assessed by fitting the HCl lines in the resulting spectra; the symmetry and width of the lines provides a quantitative measure of the alignment. The fitting is done using LINEFIT (ref) version XX. A timeseries of the retrieved phase errors and modulation efficiencies at 45 cm OPD is presented in Figure XX. Two periods are excluded from the release data due to instrument misalignments.
