Figure 6: 7:  Time series of Forest Fire Danger Index (FFDI) seasonal values in the Ecuadorian Andean region. The figure shows FFDI calculated with weather station (WS) and Tweentieh Century Reanalysis data. These data comprises the seasons July-August-September (JAS) for the period 1997-2012 for WS, and 1963-2012 for 20CR and 20CR(bc) data. Original WS and 20CR linear correlation statistics for the period 1997-2012 are r=0.53,p=0.04,n=16. These statistics for original WS and bias corrected 20CR(bc) data are r=0.51,p=0.05,n=16.
