Over Australasia, CH$_{2}$O is primarily produced through the oxidation of NMHC, but is also emitted by biogenic sources, the oxidation of CH$_{4}$, and biomass and fossil fuel burning \cite{Pfister2008,Wagner2002,Jones2007,Holzinger1999}. Its main sinks are through photolysis and reaction with OH. With an atmospheric lifetime of only a few hours CH$_{2}$O is an appropriate indicator for local sources \cite{Crutzen1999,Singh2001,Jones2007}.
