\section{Modeling}  Chemical transport models (CTM) use current knowledge of atmospheric processes, both physical and chemical, to computationally simulate the composition and distribution of trace gases in the atmosphere \cite{Dameris2013}. Comparison of these simulations with observations allows holes in our current understanding to be identified. This can iteratively be used to improve the models \cite{Seinfeld2006}. Simulations from the CTM GEOS-Chem will be used in this study. The model uses state-of-the-science transport and photolysis routines as well as a sparse-matrix vectorised chemistry solver (SMV-GEAR II) with 66 gas-phase tracers and aerosols \cite{Yantosca2014}. The meteorological input for the model is from the Goddard Earth Observing System (GEOS) of the NASA Data Assimilation Office (DAO) \cite{Bey2001}. Anthropogenic emissions data is sourced from the external inventory EDGAR v4.2 and biomass burning emissions data is sourced from the external inventory GFED3 \cite{VanDerWerf2010,EC-JRC/PBL2009}. Biogenic emissions data is sourced from the Model of Emissions of Gases and Aerosols from Nature (MEGAN) \cite{Guenther2006}.
