Example student work from the ``Understanding and Reducing CCD Images" Lab, where students illustrate different phenomena in CCD images using ice-cube trays and confetti. Here, a student illustrates and describes a CCD Image of saturated star. The ``imperfection" at right was added by the student to illustrate that the background is not uniform, and will need to be flat-field corrected.
