Likewise, the name of a month can be expressed by its number, e.g. 一月　or 正月，元月, by 季節, e.g. 夢春 , by 月令，e.g. 端月. The month in OUR tombstone uses　with 孟冬 a 季節. Although a 季節 might not be a very strong indicator of a ming tombstone, it might however exclude to some extent modern tombstones. As figure XX below shows, especially during the Japanese colonial period, the 季節 fell out of usage. 相同地，月份的表示可以用數字表示，如一月或正月；用季節表示，如孟春；用月令表示，如端月。此「洪門楊氏墓」使用刻季節的表示方法，碑上刻有孟冬。然而單以此並不足以作為一個確切的判斷標準，利用季節的表示方法能排除一些在一定程度上現代化的墓碑。見以下圖表可得知，在日治時期時，幾乎沒有人再使用季節做為表示方法。
