Survival curves depending on the concentration can consequently be determined through the equivalent dose, defined as a RBE-weighted dose:

where $D_{eq}$ is the concentration-dependent equivalent dose and $\alpha_\gamma$ and $\beta_\gamma$ are the experimental LQ parameters describing the survival curve of the cell in the absence of nanoparticles.
