In this study we define  \begin{equation}  \text{RBE} = \left. \frac{D_\gamma}{D_\text{GNP}} \right| \right|_S  \end{equation} where $D_\gamma$ is the the dose delivered by the gamma radiation to the cell in the absence of nanoparticles that produces the same survival $S$ obtained by irradiating the same cells with a dose $D_\text{GNP}$ in presence of nanoparticles.
