\label{fig:moneyplot} Visibility $V^2$ of $\ell=1$ modes as function of $\nu_{\rm max}$. The star symbols represent data from \citet{Mosser_2011} rescaled by 1.54, the expected average visibility of $\ell=1$ modes \citep{Ballot_2011}. The theoretical band shows the visibility of dipole modes suppressed by the magnetic greenhouse effect in a $1.6\mso$ star, as predicted by Eq.~\ref{eqn:vis}. The theoretical result is quite insensitive to the mass of the model. Suppressed dipoles (orange stars) are identified following the same criteria as in \citet{Mosser_2011}. The visibility of the suppressed dipoles in KIC 8561221 \cite{Garcia_2014} and KIC 9073950 is also shown (diamond and circle symbols, respectively). Here we used values for $\tau_0$ in the range [5, 20] d, 5-20 days,  consistent with \cite{Dupret_2009}.
