In this design proposal, a strip waveguide structure was chosen with the following dimensions:  \begin{enumerate}[a)] \begin{enumerate}[a]  \item Width = 500 nm and Height = 220 nm  \end{enumerate}  This basic structure will be used to build the arms of the interferometer, the main MZI variable to explore is   \item $\Delta L$ which corresponds to the difference between the two waveguide arms of the interferometer.
