Similarly, Figure \ref{fig:H1N1Ht_seg7} shows the summary statistics for Segment 7.The red circle in Seg7E1 corresponds to S5-503.  Since we are interested in substitution sites that are not host specific, we are only looking for signals observed in both biological replicates. Our conclusion is based on the intersections of the findings from each experiment. In The red circle in Seg7E1 corresponds to S5-503. It appears to be a signal site based on E1. However, in  SegE2, $Ht(D_{S5-503})$ is below the threshold in SegE2, SegE2. Hence,  wehence  conclude that S5-503 is not a substitution site.
