The below plot represents the distance between Neptune apoapsis and periapsis from the Sun, for every orbit. Since semi-major axis is directly calculated from these, they follow a similar trend. Apoapsis and periapsis tend to increase over time, and stabilize near the end of the simulation. three consecutive points represent one orbit of Neptune.
