Abstract

This is very draft just to initiate the paper. Purpose: Questions/explore: Explore the dependency of the student performance in introductory programming course to their self/programming efficacy and intelligence/programming apptitude mindsets. Experiments: We conducted pre- and post surveys during one semester among a group of x engineering students. More info Analysis: The tests and analysis that were performed.We compared xxxxx scales with their predicting performance, performed T-test to see how beliefs formed groups/clusters. Conclusions: We observed that programming efficacy and mindset programing are better predictors of students performance in the course. We discuss the reasons etc.
