• Co-Director, World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Mental Health Research and Training.
• Member of the WHO Director-General’s International Expert Panel on Mental Health and Substance Abuse.
• Regional Vice President, Western Pacific, World Association for Psychosocial Rehabilitation.
• Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Mental Health Systems. (Nature-Springer / Biomed Central, London)
• Technical Adviser to the ASEAN Mental Health Taskforce, the Vietnam Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social Affairs, and the Indonesia Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social Affairs.
