  • How To Customize a LaTeX and Bibliography Style File

If you need to define a lot of new LaTeX environments and commands in your Authorea documents, a good idea is to place them in the header.tex file. However, if you need to export your paper in a very customized format, you may need to use custom LaTeX and bibliography style files (.sty and .bst).

Use your own custom style files in Authorea with these simple steps:

    1. 1.

      Go to folder view

    2. 2.

      Upload your customized yourstyle.sty / yourbibliography.bst files

    3. 3.

Edit the header.tex file by adding as many instances of \usepackage{yourstyle} as you need

You should now be able to export your document to PDF using your custom defined style.

Important: Customized styles and classes do not render in the web version of the Authorea article, but only in the exported PDF!
