Abstract
Tactical urbanism provides alternative planning approaches to traditional urban design methods. Focused on meeting user needs and addressing socio-urban challenges, these projects utilize inclusive, intuitive, collaborative, experimental, and sensitive methods to approach the city. Essentially, "bottom-up" projects like these inspire a new way of thinking about the city by building new collective urban values. This literature review synthesizes diverse perspectives on tactical urbanism, exploring its adaptive nature, economic catalyst role, social empowerment dimension, media narrative influence, and global applicability. Collectively, these dimensions portray tactical urbanism as a multifaceted force shaping economic, social, and cultural aspects of urban development.
