Position: Research fellow in Statistics Status and place: Full time at the University of Pisa. He is research fellow at the University of Pisa, he holds a PhD in Applied Statistics from the Department of Statistics, University of Florence (2009). During 2008 he spent a visiting period of three months at the Cathie Marsh Centre for Census and Survey Research, University of Manchester, UK. He is member of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) and member of the Permanent Working group on Survey Sampling Methodologies of the Italian Statistical Society. He is associate Editor for the Journal of Statistics: Advances in Theory and Applications, Research fields: He has research interests in small area estimation, with special focus on M-quantile models and poverty mapping, in survey sampling methodology and resampling methods. Professional experience: He partecipated to national and international projects such as the InGRID project – Inclusive Growth Research Infrastructure Diffusion; the E-FRAME project – European Framework for Measuring Progress; the SAMPLE project – Small Area Methods for Poverty and Living Conditions Estimates. Teaching experience: He taught courses in Statistics in graduate and post-graduate courses of the University of Pisa. He taught and organized also Summer Schools on Poverty and Living Conditions (InGRID Summer School)
