Norma Anglani
Assistant Professor
Norma Anglani (S’93–M’99) received the Laurea (with honors) and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 1993 and 1999, respectively. She is a Chartered Engineer (in the province of Pavia) since 1995. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Energy Analysis Group and with the Energy Efficiency Standards Group, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, CA, in 1999 and October 2000–April 2001, respectively. Since 2002, she has been an Assistant Professor with the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale e dell'Informazione, University of Pavia, where she currently teaches and does research in the field of energy management, energy planning, modeling, and renewable sources. Her current focus is also on efficient compressed air systems, dealing with features related to modeling, optimization and control. She set up the Labac laboratory, a joint effort between academia and industry and she is active with services to students (LLP Erasmus staff mobility program). She has been the supervisor of 5 PhD students and more than 40 graduated students. She has coauthored more than 50 scientific papers. She has been/is responsible for several research contracts with public entities and industries.
