Abstract

Nanoparticles are known to have bactericidal properties that can compete with the known anti-biotic molecules with purportedly fewer side effects though the long term effects have not been monitored. However, in the absence of any effective molecular anti-viral agent, use of nanoparticles in this role has been envisaged. We present here the specific inhibitory and damaging effect of nanoparticles on Bombyx mori Nuclear Polyhedrosis virus.
