Nawel Takouachet is currently an assistant professor in Computer Science at the ESTIA Engineering School of Advanced Industrial Technologies at Bidart in France. She received a master degree in complex systems and a PhD about perception-driven global illumination methods, both from Université du Littoral Côte d'Opale in France in 2004 and 2009. After her thesis, in 2010, she joined the laboratory XLIM SIC/CNRS of Université de Poitiers in France as a postdoctoral researcher, she participated in the State-Region project VISA on the development of a 3D geometric modeling platform for interactive reconstruction and visualization of archaeological data. She later worked, from 2011 to 2013, at ESTIA as a Post-doctoral member of the project ANR SeARCH for the development of a Tangible user interface for interactive physically-based deformation of 3D archaeological models. Her research interests include predictive realistic image synthesis and efficient human-computer interactions.
