Abstract
Decompressive craniectomy is a measure in the management of intracranial
hypertension due to injuries that dont respond to initial measures.
cranial defects may present multiple complications associated with
management. Atmospheric pressure generates a force on adjacent brain
parenchyma, conditioning dynamic alterations in cerebral and
cerebrospinal flow.
